About Us

We call our practice Openmind for two reasons. One is to remind our clients of the importance of looking at their problems with an open mind or from a different perspective. As Albert Einstein once said, "We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them." The second reason our practice is called Openmind is because we have kept an open mind about the way we approach counseling, using cutting edge approaches to treatment such as EMDR, ACT and Neurotherapy, all of which are proven to help clients with a variety of different problems.

Comments from Joe's Clients

"Joe, thank you for helping me enliven and enrich my existence -- I am very grateful for your abilities, dedication and commitment."
- EMDR and Neurotherapy Client

"I learned to drive as an adult and was terrified to drive on the freeway.  For years I limited my travel and anytime I had to drive on a freeway or other major highway I became so anxious I couldn't stand it. My palms became so sweaty that I could barely grip the steering wheel.  After one EMDR session the fear was gone.  I still can't believe how simple it was.  Now I can drive anywhere I want without the fear or anxiety."
