Neurotherapy

Neurotherapy - also known as neurofeedback or EEG biofeedback - is a way to improve brain function. Neurotherapy allows you to change your brain waves. It's a bit like adjusting the timing on the engine of your car. Through the process of neurotherapy training the brain learns to regulate itself more efficiently and effectively.

Neurofeedback has been clinically proven to treat a number of different problems including ADD/ADHD, addictions, anxiety, depression, headaches including migraines, and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). If you are currently taking medication for one or more of these problems you may find that neurotherapy dramatically reduces or eliminates the need for medication. Of course, the decision to do that should always be made in consultation with your doctor or other licensed health care provider.

Neurotherapy sessions typically last 45-60 minutes. The number of sessions needed varies with the severity and type of problem being treated. Positive, measurable results such as improved mood, better sleep or a reduction in headaches are often seen quickly, even after just a few sessions. Lasting results come with repeated training.
